Primary responsibilities include maintaining, monitoring, and deploying data network infrastructure for Ardent Health Services. This encompasses updating network documentation, deploying new hardware utilizing enterprise standards, and conducting utilization studies. This position will work closely with other members of the Ardent technology team to support the overall mission of the company and its' strategic business initiatives.
q Maintain and install Cisco network equipment in corporate office and data center environments.
q Support Senior Engineers in design/implementation strategies.
q Maintain documentation related to network layout.
q Maintain security policies for the Cisco environment.
q Ensure that requirements for high availability are in place for the Cisco environment.
q Required-Associates' degree in Information Systems / Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
q Active CCNA certification required. Additional certifications preferred.
q Minimum of 3 years experience working in Information Systems, preferably in the heath care industry.
q Minimum of 2 years experience with Cisco routing, switching and wireless products.
q Configuration of Complex Routing protocols and High Availability WAN architecture.
q Configuration and troubleshooting experience with complex LAN Infrastructures, Ethernet, MPLS, and BGP networks. PVST, Ether-channel/Port Channel configuration, Dot1.Q Trunking, VTP.
q Configuration and troubleshooting of advanced wireless networks including RF spectrum analysis, and interference remediation.
q Configuration of Cisco Wireless Controllers and autonomous access points
q Configuration of Cisco ASA firewallsAdditional Requirements:
q Proficient in the operation and analysis of LAN and WAN packet captures, and Network Analysis.
q Proficient with DNS, DHCP, configuration and troubleshooting.
q Experience with route summarization.
q Checkpoint firewall
