And when you need emergency care, our 24/7 emergency physician staffed ER is right where you want it to be close by- to give you prompt medical treatment. In addition, this position operates multipleline telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing and interoffice callsand performs miscellaneous hospital communications and clerical duties asassigned. Answers questions of callers accordingly and gives visitorinformation as needed. Verbal ability is required in order to converseeffectively and to understand orders given under emergency conditions.Announces close of visiting hours. May sort incoming mail for distributing.Responsible for personnel and physician paging. Greets and interviews patients and their family members in the ER with all types of billing and financial inquiries. Responsible for billing follow up and collections of all non-government accounts to the point of finalization.

Job Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent; thorough knowledge of insurance plans and managed care; type greater than 45 words per minute; positive professional appearance and attitude; excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
